Behind the Koenigsegg One:1s Incredible Active Rear Wing

With its engine delivering a brutal 1360 hp and the entire car weighing just 1360 kg, the Koenigsegg One:1 is a truly incredible hypercar with a perfect one-to-one power to weight ratio. While the upgraded engine, chassis, suspension components and all the weight saving measures are absolutely incredible, one of the most impressive is the top-mounted rear wing.

Showcased here by company founder Christian von Koenigsegg in the latest episode of Inside Koenigsegg 2, this completely carbon fiber wing is displayed in all its glory. One of the most crucial aspects about the rear wing is that it is active. It features a high-speed setting which enables the car to reach a top speed of 450 km/h. However, it can also be semi-stalled to provide maximum downforce for the rear wheels while also acting as an airbrake.
