Lotus Evora 400 Priced from $89,900

Worldwide pricing for the recently launched Lotus Evora 400 has been released with the car starting at 72,000 pounds in its home country.

Elsewhere, the Evora 400 will set German customers back 96,000 euros while American pricing starts at $89,900 excluding local sales taxes. In Japan, the most hardcore street-legal Evora variant costs 13,200,000 Yen and 1.3 million RMB in China. If the automatic transmission is optioned, that adds 2000 pounds to the UK price while alcantara or leather trim adds a further 2500 pounds. Metallic paint has then been priced at 900 pounds while the ‘Black Pack’ is available at 1250 pounds. Finally there are forged alloy wheels available for 2000 pounds as well as yellow or black brake calipers for 300 pounds.

Discussing pricing and the car, Lotus chief executive Jean-Marc Gales said “We know that the Lotus Evora 400 can deliver the performance of a car costing significantly more and we are conscious that the pricing is highly competitive. Yet, the greatest merit which no other sports car or supercar can deliver is a peerless Lotus driving experience. The Evora 400 is the fastest road-going Lotus that we have ever produced. It delivers supercar looks allied to supercar performance and our global dealer network of 179 dealers which will grow to 200 by the end of the year is excited to be able to deliver this high performing benchmark handling supercar to the ever growing customer waiting list.”

As a reminder, the Lotus Evora 400 features an uprated version of the Evora S’s supercharged 3.5-litre Toyota V6 engine. It now delivers 400 hp, a 16 per cent increase. Torque is now 410 Nm and the British marque has confirmed it will sprint to 96 km/h in just 4.1 seconds and on to a top speed of 300 km/h. The Lotus Evora 400 is also 22 kg lighter (1415 kg’s total) than the Evora S with the ability to lap the test track at the Lotus Headquarters in Hethel 6 seconds faster than the previous generation Evora.
