Meet the World’s First Lamborghini Drift Car!

Japanese drift driver Daigo Saito, sponsored by Monster Energy, has just revealed the world’s first Lamborghini Murcielago drift car. The car has been created with the help of Liberty Walk in Japan and took over 7 months to build.

As the video above shows, this is a dedicated Murcielago drift car and not simply a road-going Murcielago with a rear-wheel drive setup. In creating it, it was entirely dissembled leaving nothing but the bodywork and the chassis. It was then installed with bespoke braking and suspension components while the 6.2-litre V12 engine has also received some upgrades lifting power to 650 hp.

Additionally, the car is now rear-wheel drive and includes a host of custom body parts like a massive rear wing, flared wheel arches and of course the matte black Monster Energy livery and bright green wheels.

The Lamborghini Murcielago drifter will celebrate its competitive debut at the D1GP Tokyo Drift event on October 24 and 25.

It joins this Lexus LFA drift car as potentially the world’s most expensive drifter.
