Render: Porsche Cayman Safari

Porsche Cayman Safari

While it remains to be confirmed, there is some suggestion that Porsche is working on a new off-road ‘Safari’ 911 about 35 years after the original was released in 1978.

Inevitably, we’ll just have to wait and see if these rumours come to fruition but in the interim, renderer X-Tomi Design has decided to imagine how a safari variant of the Porsche Cayman would look!

The car has been rendered with larger wheels, flared wheel arches finished in black, a revised front end and splitter as well as a blacked out roof. Whereas the Porsche 911 Safari has a bit of history to it, the Cayman has always been known as a gem of a mid-engined sports car. As a result, there’s simply no chance Porsche would consider creating such a car.

Nevertheless, it is interesting to imagine what it would look like if they did!
