A week ago, the SSC Ultimate Aero had quickly assumed the position as the fastest production car in the world only for the decision to be reverted by the Guinness World Records. However, the supercar is still in the club of fast cars and in that regard, Nathan Photography spotted one of its kind, one of only the three SSC Ultimate Aero TTs that are found in the United States. He spotted it at Oakes Detailing open House in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
The SSC Ultimate Aero was produced in various editions and prototypes developed over time some which we have featured here before, one of the editions claimed a top speed of 275mph, it was the Ultimate Aero XT which also marked the end of the production run.
This particular one is the Ultimate Aero TT that is powered by a V8 borrowed from Chevrolet, a 6.34 liter fed by a twin turbo set-up with a total output of 1287hp and a top speed of 270mph; it must be the updated TT since the original one had a top speed of 256mph. Only 24 Ultimate Aero TTs were made with the first one selling at US$431,100 on eBay.
