Continuing a theme of one-off, music inspired Lotus Evoras designed for charity, a Lotus Evora designed by Roger Daltrey will be auctioned for the Teenage Cancer Trust by Bonhams on the 1st of December. The car has been designed with Roger Daltrey’s band as the central theme, ‘The Who’.
For those who are not aware, The Who were a British rock band formed in 1964 by Roger Daltrey. The car gets the same style of treatment as the Freddie Mercury Edition, including headrests embroidered with The Who’s logo, a union flag pattern for the seat backs and rear spoiler, and a selection of The Who badges.
It’s based on the Evora S so it gets a 3.5 liter V6 with 345bhp and an IPS auto gearbox as standard. Options are still to be settled but anything out of the standard brochure can be added. The value of the car is £ 74,000, Bonhams have placed their valuation between £ 50,000 and £ 70,000, however, the full purchase price will go to charity.
The auction is set to take place at Mercedes-Benz World, Brooklands during Bonhams Important Collectors’ Motor Cars and Automobilia auction. The link to the auction page can be found here.
