Pershing Yacht – a Ferretti Group owned shipyard – launched Pershing 92 back in 2010 to become one of their most valuable luxury vessels to date. It went ahead to win the coveted Hurun Best of the Best Award in 2011. To this day, the Pershing 92 still demands a strong market value with used ones costing anywhere from $8 million and above.
The success of the Pershing 92 was as a result of a collaboration between key design figures and design houses within the yachting industry. Fulvio De Simoni teamed up with the Pershing in-house design team as well as Norberto Ferretti, Advanced Yacht Technology (AYT) and Gruppo Ferretti.
The result was a luxury vessel with four cabins that accommodates 8 guests and a crew of three. The yacht combines both luxury and speed – it has a top speed of 40 knots and still retains modern luxury features similar to bigger yachts. The 27.9 meter yacht is one of the fastest fiberglass yachts and has a dry weight of 69,090 kg. It’s powered by two 16V MTU diesel engines rated at 2,638hp helping it achieve a range of 385 nm while traveling at 38 knots.
The tender garage has enough room for a RIP and jet ski both of which come standard. The instrument panel on the upper helm is retractable and fully protected by a windscreen. Elsewhere, the settee forward provides enough space for ‘outdoor’ relaxation including cocktails and suitable for kids as well.
The materials used include Poltrona Frau Leather, mosaic, fiberglass and lacquered composite. The furniture is made of Canaletto walnut and ebony.
