TVR has released the first official teaser of the new model they will debut at the London Motor Show.

While the teaser does not give us a full look at the car, we do get to see enough to get a pretty good idea of what the car will look like.

Sources close to the project suggest that this new TVR could be the car that brings back the historic Griffith name. According to TVR over 400 pre-orders for the car have already been booked.

The expected release date of the Griffith (if that’s what it is called) is late 2017.

The new TVR will be powered by a Cosworth V8 that has been tuned to produced in excess of 400bhp. Coupled with a lightweight body, the Griffith is expected to hit 60 mph from standstill in under 4 seconds.

Expect the new TVR to have a starting price around £65,000. The launch car, however, will be a special edition that commands a much higher price.
