There has been nothing but hype surrounding the new 2014 Corvette Stingray, and rightly so. The 2014 ‘Vette is shaping up to be the most technologically advanced Corvette ever to be produced by Chevy.

And while performance figures from a press release are nice and all, we can finally bring you real dyno numbers. In a test conducted by Edmunds, the new Corvette Stingray was able to achieve a max of 411 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. Torque was recorded a respectable 407 lb-ft at 5,000 rpm. What will really improve driveability, however, is the abiltiy for Chevy’s new LT1 V8 to produce 350 lb-ft of torque all the way from 2,000 rpm.

The car used by Edmunds was dfitted with the optional sport exhaust system, which is said to boost horsepower and torque by approximately 5.

Check out the source link below for a more in depth comparison, including how the new LT1 V8 stands up against the LS3 in the Camaro SS.
