Production Bentley EXP 9 F SUV Confirmed

Bentley announced that its Bentley EXP 9 F SUV introduced at the Geneva Motor Show 2012, will go into production after some modifications.

Bentley discussed with Volkswagen to modify the front and rear end styling in order to make it suitable for production. The interior however would undergo minimal changes. The first signs for production of the EXP 9 F SUV came from a news report that Bentley told its employees at the Crewe plant in England that it will manufacture the SUV there, guaranteeing their jobs at the facility for 14 years.

The company’s CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer recently stated, “We want it to be the most prestigious, fastest and the most expensive SUV money can buy. We will position it well above the Range Rover, Porsche Cayenne Turbo S and Audi Q7, the most expensive European SUVs at present.”

Also, Bentley announced at Moscow motor show that production of the Bentley EXP 9 F SUV concept is expected to begin in a few weeks. Marketing Chief Kevin Rose stated that the SUV is of utmost importance in the company’s future growth and they are waiting for the final approval by Volkswagen Group board, to begin production of the SUV.
