The latest and greatest from Japan has been placed in versus by MotorTrend. The brand new Lexus LF-A vs the Nissan GT-R in a quarter mile race. Any thoughts on who will win?
Just a small recap. The Lexus LF-A is powered by a 4.8 liter V10 engine with an output of 552hp. The GT-R has a 3.8 liter twin-turbocharged V6 developing 485hp.
price is also cool: 1 LFA = 4 GTR!!!
omg, like the drag race is a relevant test…this test tells absolutely nothing about the cars
Beautiful car…..Lexus should have built up to it though kind of just shot their wad….I mean if your not buying this what are you getting? an ISF?
agree with PETER the days when you took your old ford and chevy to the drags for a contest is GONE cause cars nowa days are required to do a whole lot more than straight line speed, put both on the track and lets see the results, cause anyone with a little mechanical no-how can make a MR2 or Silvia do 11s
Yep + 1 here. Drag race is not the battle ground for the big boys. A 2.0 L Nissan Silvia can do those quarter mile numbers easily.
Oh just remembered by the way, one of the earlier GT-R — The Nissan GT-R Z-tune put on better numbers than both LFA and GT-R R35. :)
really you could race a lamborghini and a 68 mini cooper and it would be the same kind of race….. pointless
