On the way up to Pocono, we drove with Mario Andretti. Not in the same car, but we raced through the Delaware Water Gap and up to the track. At one point, we had a New Jersey State Police Officer next to us in the left lane. He slowly creeped past me… then past Mario. When he saw Mario, he snapped a pic on his camera phone and went off…
Up at Pocono Raceway, there was a TON of rain, but as if by magic, as we started a parade lap the rain stopped. Sure, the track was wet and the safety car kept us under, 100 but we had a blast.
A quick lunch and then back in the car. Next stop: Toronto.
