The Audi SQ5 TDI Plus has made its debut at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2015. It is the latest addition to Audi’s range of S models and GTspirit checked it out at Audi’s booth today.

The SQ5 Plus is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 diesel engine that produces 340 hp and 516.3 lb-ft of torque. Those figures represent an additional 27 hp and 36.9 lb-ft over the standard SQ5 TDI. The SQ5 TDI Plus can reach 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and continue to accelerate to an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

As with all Audi S models, the Audi SQ5 TDI Plus features permanent all-wheel drive and for the first time in a Q5 variant, a rear sport differential that actively distributes power to the rear wheels. As is important for a diesel car like this, it consumes just 6.6 litres of fuel per 100 km while emitting 174 g CO2/km. A special ‘Audi exclusive selection macaw blue’ package will be offered and limited to just 100 units. It includes a Macaw Blue paint finish, blue contrast stitching and sports seats with Nappa leather.
