DC Shoes has released a new video, called “Robbie Maddison’s Pipe Dream”, which shows the 34-year-old riding a motorbike on huge waves in Tahiti. The clip was recorded in April 2015 and Maddison spent two years preparing for the stunt. Owing to the dangers revolving around the daunting task, Maddison’s dirt bike was fitted with skis and airbags when he took on the waves at Teahupoo and Papara.
Maddison is a motorbike stunt rider from Australia. He has famously jumped over a football field and backflipped over the Tower Bridge in London. Apart from that, “Maddo” has also won the Gold medal at the X Games and he is widely considered one of the best FMX drivers in the world.

About his heroics in Tahiti, Maddison told the Surfer magazine, “The thing that sticks with me the most after that whole experience was how physically demanding it was. I don’t think the photos or video show how physical it was.”
“I’ve never felt like I was in the wrong place at the wrong time more than I did right there. It was a near-death experience. At the end of the day, the images and footage say something pretty awesome, but the ferocity and how gnarly that thing was can’t really be put into words,” he added.
