The Need for Speed gaming franchise is undoubtedly one of the most well-known of its kind and it has just been confirmed that the latest instalment is soon set to be released. Prior to the release, a selection of images and a short teaser trailer have been published.
The game’s developer, EA, claims that the new Need for Speed game will attempt to reboot the series and is consequently expected to be a thorough upgrade over previous instalments. Although unconfirmed, it appears as though the new game will focus heavily on the Japanese car culture with a selection of Japanese cars featuring in the trailer alongside a Ford Mustang and a RWB Porsche 911 (itself with a fair bit of Japanese heritage).

According to the video’s description, “The new NFS game will feature deep customisation, authentic urban car culture, a nocturnal open world, and an immersive narrative that pulls you through the game.”
