Next-Gen Subaru Impreza Spied Testing

Subaru Impreza

Spy shots have just emerged of the next-generation Subaru Impreza in the midst of testing. While on the surface the car in question looks like a five-door variant of the existing Subaru WRX, it is instead the new Impreza under heavily camouflage.

Compared to the current car, it appears as though the next-gen Subaru Impreza will make use of a wider track alongside a tweaked roof. Additionally, much of the bodywork will be restyled for the new Impreza.

According to reports, a plug-in hybrid variant of the Subaru Impreza could also hit the market as part of the latest generation range. Either way, we know that the new Impreza will ride on the Japanese marque’s refreshed modular global architecture which promises to be both lighter and stronger than the platform current used by the Impreza.

The new Subaru Impreza is pinned to debut in 2016 as a 2017 model year vehicle.
