Subaru Reveals WRX STI Race Car for 24 Hours of Nurburgring

At last week’s Tokyo Auto Salon 2015, Subaru unveiled its brand new entrant for this year’s 24 Hours of Nurburgring from May 14-17.

The new racer is based around the 2014 Subaru WRX STI and will be competing in the SP3T class with the Japanese manufacturer hoping the car can claim its third race victory in the class at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring.

Compared to the road-going WRX STI, the racer has been drastically overhauled. As a result, it features completely new fascias front and rear with the front adopt a prominent splitter and canards while the rear includes massively flared and boxy arches and a new diffuser.
