2015 Saleen Mustang 302

Official details about the 2015 Saleen Mustang 302 have just been released ahead of an imminent reveal. Based around the range-topping Mustang GT, the Saleen 302 is not only significantly more powerful, it also features a brand new design.

First off, the Saleen Mustang 302 is available as both a convertible and a fastback and in three specifications; White Label, Yellow Label and Black Label. The standard 5.0-litre V8 engine of the Mustang GT has been comprehensively upgraded with it now delivering 640 hp as well as 565 lb-ft of torque thanks to the addition of Saleen’s own supercharger as well as low pressure intercoolers in the Yellow Label and Black Label models. Additionally, a high volume water pump has been added alongside TBD fuel injectors, a high performance air filter and cold air intake and Saleen stainless steel polished exhaust tips.

As for the entry-level Mustang 302 White Label, it remains naturally aspirated and produces 450 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. It also utilises TBD fuel injectors, a high performance air filter and stainless steel exhaust tips. A short-throw shifter is available for all models alongside a limited-slip differential.

On a suspension front, the Black Label receives new front struts and rear springs and shocks as well as Saleen front and rear sway bars. A complete coilover suspension system is also available for all three models. The same brake options are also available across the board with them ranging from 13.9-inch ABS vented front discs with 4-piston calipers and 13-inch discs at the rear with single piston calipers to 15-inch slotted and drilled front discs with 6 piston calipers and 14-inch slotted and drilled rear discs with 4-piston calipers are available.

Ten different exterior colour options are available with the likes of Competition Orange, Guard Metallic, Deep Impact Blue Metallic, Race Red, Black and Ruby Red Metallic with a tinted clear coat.

From a visual standpoint, we currently know that the Saleen 302 utilises a brand new bodykit with a thoroughly revised front bumper.
