Very First Pagani Huayra Arrives in China

What is believed to be the very first customer owner Pagani Huayra in China has just landed and was spotted on the back of a truck being delivered to its eager new owner. According to early reports, this dark purple Huayra has been purchased by the owner of a hotel in the city of Chongqing who also owns a matte gold Ferrari F12 Berlinetta.

If Car News China is to be believed, the Pagani Huayra isn’t actually officially available in China yet meaning the new owner must have somehow imported it ahead of the Huayra’s official Chinese introduction in April next year at the Beijing Auto Show.

When the Pagani Huayra does officially reach China it is expected to cost around 40 million yuan which converts to over $6.5 million in the U.S. What’s more, this early adopter would have spent even more than that!

Apart from the dark purple paint job, other distinguishing features of the Huayra include brake calipers painted in the colours of the Italian flag!

Under the hood, the Pagani Huayra is powered by a brand new 6.0-liter AMG twin-turbocharged V12 engine producing an astonishing 720 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. The power is converted to the rear wheels through a transverse sequential seven-speed gearbox with a dual plate clutch in favour over a dual-clutch system which is uniquely positioned low in the center of the car to reduce the centre of gravity.
