An unforseen spectacle at the Nurburgring this weekend. Sunday afternoon a Bugatti Veyron Supersports appeared at the gates of the famous touristenfahrten (public laps) out of nowhere lapped the parking lot of the German track before disappearing as sudden as it had appeared. Half an hour later though it returned accompanied by another Bugatti Veyron, the Veyron Grand Sport. Both the Veyrons did a lap together and according to eyewitness reports they weren’t taking it easy. After the lap the Bugatti’s stopped at the parking where they quickly attracted a crowd. The Bugatti Veyron Supersports did three laps, the last one with a Volkswagen with camera crew inside in close proximity.
Dani of Colla Verglas told GTspirit the factory-owned Bugatti’s were at the Nurburgring for a magazine report and photoshoot. The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport had German plates with city code WOB, which stands for Wolfsburg the home of the Volkswagen factory. The Grand Sport was registered in the Alsace department in France where the Bugatti factory is located. By our knowledge its the first time a Bugatti Veyron Super Sports and Grand Sport lap the ring during the public touristenfahrten at the Nurburgring.
