2011 Ford Mustang GT Gets 5.0 liter V8 480x280

Ford hasn’t official unveiled any information about a new 5.0-litre V8 for the 2011 Mustang GT, but the details seem to be legit if we believe Inside Line and information posted on Facebook and Twitter. The new engine named Coyote will produce 412bhp and a maximum torque of 542Nm (400lb-ft).

The 32 valve engine is the main competitor for the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS’s 422hp and the 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8’s 425hp. A release is expected at the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

  1. Ford common and make some bigger engines …chevys got 6.2s and 7.0s love to see Ford put out one that size it would be a monster. But atleast they got rid of that shitty 4.6 liter ..this 5.0 with a supercharger or better yet a twinturbo system should be pretty impressive..Hell the Ford GT has a 5.4 liter and when you put TwinnTurbos on that your smoking chevy corvettes with TwinTurbo 7.0 liters from what iv see on some videos on here. Ford can make some mean engines when they want to..
