Lamborghini Plans Hybrid Version of Gallardo for 2015

Lamborghini Gallardo Green

The “going-green” hype has entered the world of exclusive supercars. Ferrari and now Lamborghini are heading into the world known as Hybrid. Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has confirmed to German magazine Automobilewoche that the Italian carmaker is working on a hybrid Gallardo. The electrically assisted bull will hit the market around 2015, the same year as the Ferrari.

The supercar will not be fully electric. The V10 or V12 engine will have an extra small electric motor powering the car at lower speeds. 2015 seems to be far away and the time a brand new Gallardo should have been introduced already. So we could state that the new Gallardo introduced between now and at least two to three years will have a hybrid variant driving around.
