The first Aston Martin DBS Coupes haven’t even been delivered yet, and already the engineers from Aston Martin are testing a soft-top variant. The convertible was spotted just as the sun was setting in northern Sweden. Seems to be busy days for the british!
The steel roof will be replaced by a canvas-top and the layout of the side windows will be different from those of the DBS coupé, all other body components will be identical to the Volante’s.
To ensure a top-speed beyond 190 mph (304 kmh), Aston Martin will use the 6.0 liter V12 engine as in the coupe with a power output of 517 bhp and a torque of 420 Nm. The sprint to 62 mph (100 kmh) will be covered in just over 4 seconds, the prices will be nothing less as € 300 000 (£ 223 000 or $ 435 000).
