More than 800 hp in a Shelby GT350, if there is any tuner that can make it happen, it’s Hennessey Performance. A quick disclaimer before you hit the play button, it’s not very earphone friendly. The sound on this custom Shelby GT350 is absolutely insane.

In the video they show the Shelby tear up the tarmac and do a couple of dyno runs. We hope the engineers were wearing sufficient ear protection..

Responsible for the increased performance and harder exhaust note is the HPE800 Voodoo engine upgrade. The 5.2-liter V8 is equipped with a 2.9-liter supercharger system develops 808 bhp (819 hp) and 890 Nm of torque.

To handle that brute force a lot more tinkering had to be done to the Shelby’s engine. 11.0:1 compression forged aluminum pistons with steel wrist pins and forged steel connecting rods were installed. Both the fuel injectors and fuel pump got an upgrade as well, and the high flow air induction and coilpack covers are both made out of carbon fiber.

Besides the fierce engine upgrade, Hennessey installed some custom badging, and both headrest embroidery and custom floor mats in the interior of the car. The upgrade will be available for the Shelby GT350 and GT350 R, and will be limited to just 50 units for the 2016 model year.
