The InterContinental Hotel Group recently opened their most recent five-star hotel at the Greenwich Peninsula in London. Officially named “InterContinental Hotel London – The O2”, the luxury hotel is located close to the famous O2 Dome, hence the name.

London Greenwich is booming, especially around the popular O2 area. The Greenwich peninsula development includes construction of thousands of residences, several office buildings and mixed-use buildings. The InterContinental London – The O2 is one of the first buildings to be opened in the area.

The luxury hotel will feature 453 rooms, of which 59 are suites. The rooms offer guests breathtaking views of the London skyline. The InterContinental Hotel London – The O2 also houses the Peninsula restaurant, a rooftop sky bar and a world-class health spa.

Besides providing guests with great access to its direct surroundings such as the O2 Arena, Greenwich observatory or the Maritime Museum, the centre of London is just a 15 minute commute away. It’s tube station North Greenwich that has excellent connections to the city and business district Canary Wharf. The station is only a 400 metre walk from the hotel.

What’s more is a large conference centre featuring one of Europe’s largest pillar-free ballrooms, measuring approximately 3,100 square metres. The conference centre has 19 additional meeting rooms adjacent to it, offering stunning views of the Canary Wharf skyline.
