The Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet is the car you never knew you needed. On display at the Geneva Motor Show 2017, the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet is pure extravagance. Almost as big as the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 and with the trick suspension of the Mercedes-Benz G 500 4×4. It leaves quite the impression!

The Landaulet is the first off-roader from the Mercedes-Maybach sub-brand. It follows on from the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 and the Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Cabriolet. Limited to 99 units, it gets a V12 engine, portal axles, electric fabric top and exclusive equipment.

The G650 Landaulet is fitted with portal axles which provide ground clearance of 450 millimetres. In contrast to a conventional rigid axle, the wheels are not at the height of the axle centre, but are instead situated much further down on the axle heads. They feature 325/55 R 22 tyres, 100 percent differentials and a low off-road ratio transfer box.

As you would expect, the interior is superb. The idea of a Landaulet is that the passengers occupy a separate compartment to the driver. The rear seats are the place to be with all the appointments you would expect from a luxury limousine.
