What Pixar Cars Should Really Look Like!

Danny Hibbert has rendered a trio of anthropomorphic supercars based on the ones that featured in the 2006 animation movie, Cars. These include a red Lamborghini Gallardo Performante, a yellow Lamborghini Diablo SV and a green McLaren 650S. They look quite cool and closely resemble the characters in the film.

While in most anthropomorphic cars the eyes are placed within the headlamps, the producers in the film placed the eyes on the windshield. Hibbert has done the same in the rendering, which gives a more approachable look to the cars.

Producing animated car characters was a hard task for the Cars team. It all started out with pencil designs and several innovative techniques were used during the animation process.

The movie went on to be a success, earning more than $400 million at the box office worldwide. The sequel, Cars 2, came out in 2011 and did even better with an earning in excess of $550 million. The series was produced by Pixar.
