YouTube member Toldi aka DrGumoLunatic spotted a 2013 Porsche Cayman (981) on the streets of Stuttgart. The Cayman was accompanied by a brand new Porsche 911 (991) Cabriolet, which was officially revealed just a few weeks ago. The barely disguised sports car was caught in Stuttgart, close to its homebase Zuffenhausen.
The new Cayman and Cayman S are the following two models in the Porsche lineup to be released. The Cayman series will use the same engines, transmissions and suspension setup as its open-top family members, the 2013 Boxster and Boxster S, which Porsche revealed just a few days ago.
The Cayman will be powered by a 2.7 liter flat six producing around 265 horsepower, and the Cayman S will be powered by 325hp 3.2 liter flat six. Reportedly the flat-six engine will be replaced by a new twin-turbo 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine by 2015.
