slrmika001

The Mille Miglia is a thousand mile endurance race that has been organised 24 times between 1927 and 1975. The race didn’t have a fixed route but was covered on several roads in Northern and Central Italy.

Today the Mille Miglia still exists but as an averag espeed rally for oldtimers that have been made at latest in 1957. Every year several famous competitors appear at the start. Among them, this year, was Mika Häkkinen driving his SLR Stirling Moss. Of course he didn’t set any official times because the Stirling Moss was only made last year.
