Cadillac CTS-V laps the Nürburgring in 7:59 minutes

Cadillac CTS-V

Cadillac isn’t the brand wherefrom we expect to see something super sportive, but this Cadillac CTS-V is getting ready to change this. What’s better to demonstrate the performance than to break the Nürburgring lap record for a production sedan. GM claims a time of 7:59 minutes. Confirmation of the record run will be released in the coming days with a video of the entire run.

The Nurburgring run is part of the intensive testing in the final stages of development before the CTS-V goes on sale this fall. Now all that remains is to find out is what exactly is resting under the hood of this CTS-V? The same engine as in the Corvette ZR1, a 6.2-liter Supercharged V8?
