American actor Dick Van Dyke has been rescued just seconds before his white Jaguar XJ sedan burst into flames on an American motorway.
A passing motorist noticed the much-loved American celebrity hunched over the wheel and immediately swung into action and assisted Van Dyke from his Jaguar XJ. Wearing an immaculate white polo shirt, Van Dyke can then be seen in the following video on the phone and sitting on the gutter just meters from the flaming British sedan.

Not long after Van Dyke was helped from the Jaguar XJ, the entire car was engulfed in flames.
Following the event, Van Dyke said, “It just started making a noise. I thought I had a flat at first, then it started smoking, then it burned to a crisp.”
It’s not yet known what caused the fire, but if Van Dyke hadn’t been so lucky and it was a manufacturer fault, Jaguar would have had many, many questions to answer for.
