Jon Olsson’s extremely recognisable Rebellion R2k has been sold to a private collector in Hong Kong and the images of the vehicle in the city can be seen below.

Designed by Olsson and one of Sweden’s most skilled automotive artists, Leif Tufvesson, the Rebellion R2k is based off the Ultima GTR with both sharing the same chassis, doors and windscreen. However, the vehicle gets its transmission and engine from the Lamborghini Gallardo with its power output reportedly more than 600 hp. Owing to heavy use of carbon-fiber, the Rebellion R2k weighs less than 1,000 kg.

Olsson successfully completed two Gumball 3000 rallies in the street-legal racecar and it was initially put up for sale in April 2015 for $270,000. It’s not certain whether the Rebellion R2k got sold now or is changing hands for the second time in less than a year.

A professional skier, Olsson has won nine Winter X-Games medals and is a popular name in the automotive industry for having owned an incredible range of exotic cars including the Audi R8, the RS6 Avant (which was infamously stolen and torched earlier this year) and the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV among others. As a personal signature, all of Olsson’s cars have a ski box on the roof to carry his equipment on European tours. Some, like the RS6 and the Rebellion R2k, have been heavily tuned.

For next summer’s events, the 33-year-old is planning to work on one of these four cars: the new Audi R8, the Huracan, the Aventador or the Mclaren 650S.
