The guys from Pure McLaren rented the track of Spa Francorchamps last Thursday and Friday. With Curbstone being held on Saturday, they decided to stay one day longer at Belgium’s finest track. It was an extra day for their customers, just a few of them, but also a nice extra for the Curbstone visitors and drivers.
With two P1s, a black and an orange one, the brand was definitely well represented. The most stunning McLaren on the track was an orange 650S GT3. With an output of around 500 hp, the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 is a great engine for a superb looking car. The power is brought to the track by a new six-speed sequential gearbox. Next to this absolute great car there was also a 12C GT Sprint. This car is a bit older, but with a twin turbo 3.8 V8 engine having 625 hp, we can easily say that it was more than a competitor for the 650S GT3.
