American sports car and racing car manufacturer Panoz has just unveiled a special 25th anniversary edition of the Esperante Spyder at the ongoing Monterey Car Week 2014. The wraps were taken off at yesterday’s McCall Motorworks Revival Party.
Just 25 examples of the 25th anniversary model will be released with those incorporating both the standard Spyder as well as the Spyder GT models. And if you hadn’t already realised, the name commemorates the 25th birthday of the company.
All examples of the Panoz Esperante Spyder/Spyder GT will be hand-built to the specifications of the customer. Customers don’t only have the opportunity to choose their ideal colour and interior trim finishes but can choose from a selection of engines ranging from a 430 hp V8 to a supercharged V8 delivering 560 hp. Whatever engine is selected, a six-speed manual transmission comes standard but a semi-automatic is also available.
