Official: 2014 Norton Altima V8 Supercars Racer

Not long after the Volvo S60 Polestar V8 Supercar was revealed, the wraps have been taken off the 2014 Norton Nissan Altima V8 Supercars racer.

From a visual standpoint, the 2014-spec car remains very similar to last year’s car. However, a few subtle tweaks in the paint job are apparent. More significantly however, are a few aerodynamic tweaks both at the front and at the rear. At the back, the rear wing uprights have been tweaked while a few changes have been implemented on the front bumper. The latest Norton Nissan Altima racer will join the Jack Daniel’s sponsored car during testing at Sydney Motorsport Park this coming Saturday.

While speaking about the new car, driver James Moffat said, “Until we hit the track for the first time at the Sydney test, we won’t be getting too carried away with expectations. Hopefully it will be an improvement, and I’m sure it will be, so all we can do is head to the test, put our best foot forward and have a productive day.”

His teammate Michael Caruso then concluded by saying “For Nissan Motorsport and the two Norton Altimas, it’s important that we show strong improvement in our second year, and it’s critical that we start to win races. Whether that happens straight away, I’m not sure, but as more upgrades come through, then all the signs are there that we can start challenging on a week-to-week basis.”
