New Corvette Stingray Auctioned for $1.1 Million

We previously told you of how the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray would go to auction at the Barrett Jackson, and it happened that Rick Hendrick bought this supercar for $1.1 million, with proceeds going to charity. Rick Hendrick’s love for cars is not new; he is the current owner of the American NASCAR team, Hendrick Motorsports and founder of the Hendrick Automotive Group and Hendrick Marrow Program.

Having debuted at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show, this is the first Corvette Stingray that rolled off the production line.
