The Lamborghini Aventador J is probably one of the rarest car’s you’ll see on the road. Lamborghini produced just one example and sold it for £1.75m (plus taxes) to an anonymous collector. It turns out that the collector lives in Marbella and he has been showing off his purchase over the weekend The pictures aren’t brilliant but the guys over at MotorPassion really weren’t expecting to see it!
The Lamborghini Aventador J gets its name, rather bizarrely, from the sporting rules of the FIA world motorsport organization. Its “Appendix J” defines the technical specification of race cars in the various classes. It gets the 6.5 liter V12 with 700hp power rating and the same 1,575kg dry weight as the Lamborghini Aventador. Obviously, the design features a speedster roof. It uses a new type of carbon fiber fabric called “Carbonskin” made of woven carbon fibers soaked with a very special epoxy resin that stabilise the fiber structure and keeps the material soft.
Rumours have been started that suggest its another Al Thani car. We’re not convinced though. It was spotted with a Lamborghini Reventon Roadster and backing into a garage containing what looks like the Bugatti Veyron Grey Carbon Edition, and an Aston Martin One-77. Enjoy the pictures. Hopefully we’ll be able to bring you more pictures of this extra special Aventador some time in the future!
