Today we have a rare insight into one of the bigger UK-based supercar collections. Most of the cars are well known, as is the owner, Peter Saywell! For those who don’t know already, Peter made his fortune with aircraft parts company Saywell International. The video below is one of only a few times that cameras have been allowed into the garage that houses this collection!
You’ll notice that the collection is pretty all-inclusive. Apart from Peter’s infamous Pagani Zonda PS you’ll see that he also now has a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 in white, a Koenigsegg Agera, a Ford GT, a Ferrari F40 and a Ferrari 458.
Peter talks about his origins, a humble Minivan coverted with a straight through exhaust and go-faster stripes. He explains that he chooses his car’s on the looks alone and that he doesn’t have a favourite, although he admits he would not sell his Ferrari F40! Interestingly, he also has the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series on order. Not other additions are planned though, at least not until the garage is extended!
There’s also a plug for his Goodwood track days on the 31st March, 26th May and the 29th September this year. We recommend taking a look if you are around that area, he holds these in aid of charity and they are typically as good as Goodwood’s own Breakfast Club Meetings.
You’ll find the video below and you’ve probably already found the pictures above! For more, please visit Washington Coachworks website.
AOG in their plates means Aircraft On Ground!!!!!!
awesome!!!
Fuck you Peter!!! :)
Amazing that he’s only held on to a handful of cars since the last time he publicly showed his garage on fifth gear! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdftoIUIN8M
I went to school with Peter and we were good friends for many years until I moved to the U.S., when I lost touch with him. He was always a very down to earth character and his incredible success doesn’t appear to have changed him one little bit!
