AutoExpress photographers have got clearer pictures of the 2013 Porsche 911 (991) GT3. The Porsche 911 GT3 should go on sale either late 2012 or early 2013. The pictures clearly show the details of the vehicle that were lacking in earlier spyshots.

The rear spoiler looks to have been completely redesigned. The full-length, one-piece spoiler we saw on the out-going 997 GT3 has been replaced by a similar fixed spoiler of roughly the same size, but with shorter body attachments and larger end pieces. As you’d expect, there’s a complete redesign for the front and rear bumpers and the trademark central dual-exhaust.

Large 7-spoke alloy wheels are now obvious, as are the new headlights and the lower front end. Overall, we’d say it looks a very tasty package indeed!

The 3.8 liter engine will get around 450hp in the new Porsche 911 GT3. Expect a weight-loss program to shave 40kg from the standard cars weight thanks to a a stripped out interior, lightweight wheels and lightweight body panels. We are told Porsche will not offer a PDK gearbox with the 911 GT3, manual will be the only option.
