According to German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, the upcoming 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider will get a fully retractable hard top roof made from carbon fiber. This news follows after the release of the first spyshots in November of last year.

A seven-speed twin-clutch Seamless Shift Gearbox (SSG) is to be the only transmission offered with shifting controlled via paddles mounted behind the steering wheel.
