Back at the IAA in Frankfurt last September we saw an interesting concept created by Croatian company Rimac Automobili. The concept was an electric car, named the Concept One, and is driven by four independent electric motor drive units which are divided into the rear and front drive system.
Thanks to the used technology the Rimac Concept One produces a total output of 1,088hp together with a stunning 3,800Nm of torque. Sprint from standstill to 100km/h is done in just 2.8 seconds. Top speed is set at 305km/h. In the video below you’ll see the first footage of the car actually driving around. Enjoy the silence…
Sounds blender, but looks nice.
It looks fantastic but the top speed is pathetic with over 1000hp…you sure it’s not 405kph?
I bet you it’s limited to give better range and acceleration.
Very plausible but what’s the point of having so much power in the first place? 500HP would incrase the range even more, it would not make 0-100 in 2.8secs but 305kph would be possible as well.
It’s because electric cars have only one gear.
looks good but it being electric it makes no sound so that makes it gay
gay or not Im in love with that body…
And as Luke stated – 500HP might be more reasonable choice
