Spyshots: Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series Sedan

Mercedes-Benz unveiled the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. But now it appears the German car maker is working a more powerful version of the four-door C-Class AMG sedan as well.

Spotted while testing at the Nürburgring, the test mule of the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series Sedan featured widened wheel arches housing larger wheels plus the same modified front and rear bumpers seen on the Black Series coupe. The production model will also feature sport different side skirts, blacked out mirror caps, ten-spoke alloy wheels and a vented hood.

The C63 AMG BS Sedan is expected to be powered by the same engine as the coupe. Whereas the regular Mercedes C63 AMG is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.2 liter V8 which provides 457hp and 600Nm of torque, the upgraded engine of the Black Series will produce 517hp and 620Nm.

The power will be transferred to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch AMG Speedshift transmission. Additionally, the suspension and brake system of the sedan will be enhanced while a electronically limited-slip differential will come as standard.

The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Sedan is expected to be unveiled within the next year. So stay tuned for more!
