The following footage shows a drag race between the brand 2012 BMW F10M M5 and its ancestor, the 2005 E60 M5. The movie was made on German autobahn.
The driver of the 2005 M5 E60 says he managed to pass the 2012 BMW M5 prototype only after he went over the 290km/h mark. The camouflaged test vehicle was doing at least 270-280km/h, which higher than the normal limited 250km/h. Sources have stated before that the top speed is said to be raised to 305km/h, but only for the German market.
