The AMG Driving Academy embarked upon its latest “Emotion Tour” earlier this month. The five-day trip saw some stunning vehicles travel along the coastal highway and twisty roads of the Mediterranean island of Corsica.

The sunshine, breathtaking landscapes and sound of the Mercedes-AMG cars echoing through the valley added to the exhilarating atmosphere. Some of the vehicles present at the tour included a CLA45 AMG, A45 AMG, C63 AMG, AMG GT S and E63 AMG.

The AMG Driving Academy comprises of a series of events that began in 2007, where people can improve their driving skills and learn to fully use the potential of Mercedes-AMG vehicles.

Mercedes-AMG holds these training courses in various locations including some legendary racing circuits in Europe, such as the Nürburgring, Hockenheimring and Spa-Francorchamps. It also organises drives and tours through scenic places like Cannes, Corsica, Affalterbach and ice polar regions so that the drivers can test themselves in the harshest weather conditions.

Skilled professionals guide the participants and although it’s typically expensive to register for the AMG Driving Academy, one gets to learn a lot about the cars and driving in general. For example, during track days, the instructors extensively teach the drivers the right braking points, how to get the maximum speed out of the apex and how to be on the racing line at all times.

That said, the Emotion Tour is less enduring than the track days and is more about enjoying the enchanting landscapes and conquering the most beautiful roads in the world in addition to experiencing various motorsport highlights of the year like the DTM and 24-Hour Nurburgring.
