For the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2015, Carlsson has unveiled its CC63S Rivage based around the Mercedes-AMG C63 S. The car gets its name from the ‘Rivage’ corner at the famous Spa Franchorchamps circuit in Belgium.

On an engine standpoint, Carlsson has worked its magic on the German super sedan’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8. As a matter of fact, horsepower has been bumped from the standard 503 hp up to 605 hp as well as 820 Nm of torque, 100 Nm over the standard model. Thanks to these modifications and when mated with the company’s dual-clutch transmission driving the rear wheels, Carlsson’s CC63S Rivage reaches 100 km/h in a brisk 3.8 seconds.

Further distinguishing Carlsson’s latest creation from the standard Mercedes-AMG C63 S are a selection of carbon fibre components. They consist of a new front splitter with head-turning lateral boundary flaps. Meanwhile, the front air intake has been modified as have a set of subtle canards on both sides of the bumper.

As standard, the C63 S has quite an impressive presence particularly from the rear. Nevertheless, Carlsson set about changing it by installing a carbon fibre bootlip spoiler, a modified rear diffuser as well as a new bumper. Four black-chromed tailpipes have also been fitted and complete the bespoke stainless steel sports exhaust system which also features a manual valve control function.

Helping to make the Carlsson CC63S Rivage particularly jaw-dropping is the Mirror Blue wrap adorning parts of the front fascia, the sides as well as the rear bumper. New EVO II Diamond Edition alloy wheels measure 19×8.5 at the front and 19×8.5 at the rear have been fitted.

Carlsson, the renowned Mercedes tuner, is proud to announce the world premiere of their spectacular CC63S Rivage on Stand 27, Hall 4.0 at the Frankfurt IAA International Motor Show 2015 (September 17 to 27).

With 605hp and 820Nm of torque, the CC63S Rivage blasts from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds, and joins the ranks of Carlsson’s limited edition models like the EauRouge, Blanchimont and Rascasse, named after corners of legendary racetracks like Spa-Francorchamps in the Ardennes or Monaco.

A Carlsson model at this level needs to be based on a car with impeccable performance credentials. In this instance that car is the latest version of AMG’s redoubtable C63 S.

Using this compact super saloon as their blank canvas, the engineers from Merzig developed a package of technical and aesthetic components that make a clear performance statement. The lightweight carbon-fibre aerodynamic components, optimised wheel/tyre combinations, sports exhaust system and exclusive interior treatment, are underpinned by the performance enhancements.

Every car that leaves Carlsson’s Gut Wiesenhof workshop benefits from the decades of collective experience of the engineering team. Their engine upgrade for the CC63S Rivage adds 100hp and 100Nm of torque to the twin-turbo V8, bringing its output to a supercar rivaling 605hp, along with 820 Nm of torque.

Carlsson has received many awards for its attractive aerodynamic components whose forms are a perfect synthesis of aesthetic perfection and wind tunnel honed efficiency.

Made from OE quality carbon-fibre, the Carlsson front splitter with lateral boundary flaps and the front intake ram air ducting give the CC63S Rivage its aggressive motorsport inspired appearance. Two inverted L-shaped guides over the original air intakes add to this purposeful look.

The Carlsson ‘flicks’ on the sides of the front apron guide air also help to reduce lift over the front axle, with the surrounds to the front wing air outlets and the aero flaps on the front splitter, side skirts and rear apron continuing the carbon-fibre theme.

At the rear, the striking carbon-fibre air outlet covers and profile around the diffuser contribute to the motorsport inspired look of the rear bumper. The boot lid mounted rear spoiler reduces lift over the rear axle, and in combination with the underbody diffuser, also serves to reduce drag by cleaning up the departing airflow.

The two pairs of black-chromed tailpipes that flank the diffuser emanate from the bespoke stainless steel sports exhaust system. A manual valve control allows the driver to choose an even deeper and more sonorous sound for the open road.

Adding a distinctive and striking infusion of colour to the car, panels in ‘Carlsson Mirror Blue’ festoon the front apron, sides and rear apron of the car. These are applied using the highest quality automotive foil.

The interior of the CC63S Rivage evokes images of the legendary Tartan check pattern used in classic Mercedes sportscars like the Gullwing and Uhlenhaut Coupé.

With its seats and door panels are trimmed in the finest Scottish sourced Nappa leather with Alcantara highlights with Carlsson blue Tartan check inserts. The dashboard and steering wheel are wrapped in blue and black Nappa leather.

To show different possible wheel/tyre combination, the CC63S Rivage will be presented with one wheel style on each side of the car. The smaller size is the new Carlsson 1/5 EVO II Diamond Edition alloy wheel painted in silver. Sized 8.5J and 9.5J x 19-inch front and rear, these wheels are shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 street legal track day tyres in 245/35ZR19 and 265/35ZR19 sizes respectively.

Designed for maximum speeds in excess of 300km/h, the Carlsson 1/10 Graphite Edition wheel comes in 8.5J and 9.5J x 20-inch sizes front and rear, and uses Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres in 245/30ZR20 and 265/30ZR20 sizes. These light alloy wheels stand out with their unique anthracite grey paint with a matt clear coat finish, and perfectly match the cars sporting appearance.
