You don’t need to tell me about how awesome the BMW M2 is. I was fortunate enough to drive the pocket rocket around Laguna Seca following Formula 1 driver, Timo Glock – I guess dreams really do come true. One niggling criticism of the M2 that the levels of customization from BMW has been extremely limited. There are only four choices of exterior paint and essentially no interior options.

Take a bow Michael Fux for sticking two fingers up at the standard options and paying BMW Individual a visit to create a 1 of 1 Austin Yellow BMW M2 that looks incredible. The color is an option on the M2s bigger brothers, the M3 and M4 but was never available on the M2. It would be great to see more Individual colors, but seeing as Fux’ car came in at a staggering $114,000 MSRP I’m not sure that we will. Fux is known for his bold color choices, most memorably his mint green Rolls-Royce Wraith and green McLaren P1.

Whatever the color, the figures the M2 boasts are impressive considering the it is the entry level car in the M range, the car feels every bit as fast as BMW quote – 0-100 km/h with the M DCT gearbox flashes by in 4.3 seconds and 4.7 with the standard manual transmission. At the top end, it is business as usual with the car being limited to 250 km/h with the optional M Drivers Package raising that figure to 270 km/h. Bravo Michael, enjoy the M2!
