The Mercedes-AMG highlight of the Geneva Motor Show 2016 is the Mercedes-AMG C 43 Cabriolet. The Cabriolet is the first open-top C-Class model, the C 43 4MATIC is the first AMG! The Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC Cabriolet is one of the first models from a new “43” series sub-series.

The Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC Cabriolet gets a 3.0 lire V6 biturbo engine with a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. It comes as standard with the AMG Performance 4MATIC, rear biased (31:69) all-wheel drive system. The engine produces 367 hp with a peak torque of 520 Nm, enough for a 100 km/h sprint of just 4.8 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. Combined fuel consumption is 8.4-8.3 litres per 100 km with CO2 emissions of 194-190 g/km.

The Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC Cabriolet features AMG Ride Control sports suspension with three-stage adjustable damping, AMG Dynamic Select with five modes (Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Manual) and a three-stage ESP system. The front axel gets new steering knuckles and spring link supporting joints. Larger brakes measuring 260 mm on the front axle and 320 mm on the rear axle help with the increased performance.

The AMG specific design includes a unique front and rear apron with unique exhaust tailpipes, a diamond radiator girl with chrome pins and a set of 18-inch 5-spoke lightweight alloy wheels. The front bumper features larger air intakes, exterior mirror housings are black and the bletline trim and window frame are high gloss black.

The soft-top is carried over from the standard Cabriolet which takes 20 seconds to open or close at speeds of up to 50 km/h. Colour options include black, dark blue, brown or dark red. The boot is 285 litres with the top down or 360 litres with the roof up. Inside, the AMG instrument cluster is new with AMG menu options and a speedometer going up to 280 km/h. Surfaces get ARTICO man made leather and black DYNAMICA microfibre with red topstitching.
