British automaker Lotus has announced that it will launch two new sports cars at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show 2016. The company states that CEO, Jean-Marc Gales, will take centre stage alt the Lotus booth to personally remove the covers from the company’s “fastest ever line up” of production road cars”

Apart from the duo, there will be two more cars at Lotus’ stand. One of them is the Lotus 3-Eleven, which gets a tweaked variant of the 3.5-litre supercharged V6 from the already potent Evora 400. In the 3-Eleven specification, this engine produces 460 hp (in the Race version), enough for a 0 to 60 mph time of 2.9 seconds.

Meanwhile, the other car will be the fastest ever Lotus Elise, the Cup 250. The latter was recently revealed by the company and gets 246 hp 1.8-litre 4-cylinder supercharged engine. The Lotus Elise Cup 250 sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds with a 154 mph top speed. This admirable performance is primarily achieved owing to several weight reduction steps taken by Lotus like carbon fibre seats and lightweight forged alloy wheels.
