We all knew it was coming, these pictures show the first official shots of the Jaguar F-Type SVR; the hotly anticipated hardcore F-Type. The pictures come from a German dealer who appears to have prematurely published a brochure. The photos confirm that the F-Type SVR will be available in both a Coupe and Convertible version.

The Jaguar F-Type SVR will use the supercharged 5.0-litre V8, a staple of Jaguar performance cars. Power will see a 25 hp increase from 550 hp up to 575 hp. Assisted by Jaguar’s four-wheel drive system, the F-Type SVR will manage a 0-62mph time of just 3.7 seconds. Top speed will hit 200 mph for the Coupe and 194 mph for the Convertible.

The Jaguar F-Type SVR will also make use of the previously optional carbon ceramic brakes. They save 21 kg over the normal high performance units, together with a lightweight titanium exhaust that saves 12 kg and forged aluminium wheels that save 10 kg the F-Type SVR is set to make some substantial weight loss.

In terms of aerodynamics, the Jaguar F-Type SVR gets a complete overhaul. The front bumper is deeper, the side skirts are deeper, the diffuser is larger. The F-Type also gains a set of bonnet vents, fender vents, a rear spoiler and a lower ride height. The enhancements are said to reduce lift by up to 80% and increase cooling performance.

The Jaguar F-Type SVR will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2016, we will of course be on hand to take a look. Official details as and when they are available, thanks to Perry for the tip.
