LUX* Resorts & Hotels has just announced that by 2017, it will open the doors to four luxurious resorts. Those new hotels will be located in the Maldives, Reunion Island, China and the United Arab Emirates.
Starting with the LUX* South Ari Atoll in the Maldives, it won’t be brand new but instead completely refurbished. It will include exclusive overwater love retreats each with a private swimming pool. Elsewhere in these love retreats will be couples rain-showers, ‘loveseats’ and even ‘love nests’ overhanging the local lagoon.
On Reunion Island, the new LUX* hotel will be located in the picturesque ‘green corridor’ and near to the La Fournaise volcano. It will consist solely of private villas with private swimming pool as well as in excess of 8 hectares of tropical gardens.
LUX*’s second Chinese hotel along the LUX* Tea horse Road circuit will be found on the banks of the Yangze river in the Yunnan province of China. It will be Tibetan-inspired and consist of 30 rooms providing views of the snow-capped mountains.
Finally will be LUX* Al Zorah in the UAE. Just a 30-minute drive from Dubai International Airport, it will have 191 rooms, suites and private villas.
Discussing the expansion, chief executive of LUX* Resorts & Hotels Paul Jones said “Once again, we are experiencing exciting times at LUX* Resorts & Hotels. With four new properties scheduled for opening by 2017, and the remaking of LUX* South Ari Atoll, Maldives, the group is progressing well towards our international development ambitions.”
